Ken Appel was a beloved father, husband, brother, friend, attorney, chess player, debater, and avid bike rider. His life was interrupted by Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP) and Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD), neurodegenerative diseases that have no known cause or cure.
